Urban Gardening TED Talk

You may have already seen this on the evening news, but it’s worth sharing. In this TED Talk, Ron Finley speaks on the importance of people providing and growing their own food. In January, I attended a similarly focused seminar at the Mid-America Horticulture Show on urban gardening. William Moss focused on how to grow fruits and vegetables in small urban lots. He also spoke on how and what to grow in the urban landscape. He encouraged us to focus on how much emotional, physical and spiritual peace trees and plants give us, while keeping in mind security and safety issues. I appreciated both the practical and theoretical focus of growing gardens in the city.

I hope you enjoy this TED Talk. Please let me know your reaction.
