What Red Wigglers Eat

Red Wigglers Worm Bin

Contents of a Worm Bin

Wondering what to feed your red wigglers? Worm bins are a great way to transform your fruits, vegetables and bread into garden soil, along with your saved autumn leaves and soy-based ink newspapers. Red wigglers will eat most fruits and vegetables except citrus (i.e., lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, etc) and onions. Avoid placing dairy and meat in your worm bin as it won’t create enough heat to avoid salmonella, but they will make short work of your other table scraps.
